Kaduna bandits release another 10 Baptist High School students

Bandits who abducted 136 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna State, on Saturday released another set of 10 students.

The vice president of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) – 19 Northern States and Abuja – and its chairman in Kaduna State, Rev. Joseph John Hayab, said this in a WhatsApp message to the media.

Hayab said, “Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits.

“We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support.

“We are trusting God that the rest will be released very soon. All have been reunited with their parents.”

The police had on Thursday announced it had arrested three kingpins of the bandits involved in the kidnap of the Baptist school students.

The suspects, who dressed in military camouflage, were paraded by the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, at the headquarters of the defunct Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), in Abuja.

Ten students were released last Saturday, September 18, after spending 75 days in captivity with the terrorists.

With the release of another set of 10 on Saturday, September 25, the number of the Baptist school students still in the bandits den now stands at 11.
