Those who still believe that the Nigerian youths are only active politically on social media and will make no significant impact on the 2023 general elections, may need to pay a little attention to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) report on voters’ registration.

Fresh statistics released by INEC on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) show that no fewer than 11 million new voters have been registered, across the federation.

Out of the total 11,011,119 registrants, 7,828,570 are categorised as youths within the age bracket 18-34 years. This represents 71.1% of the total new registrations.
