One person was feared dead as scores of residents on Monday staged a protest in Sagamu, Ogun State, over the death of Remo Stars Football Club player, Tiyamiyu Kazeem, in the hands of the police.

The protesters, who took to the streets also stormed the Palace of the Akarigbo and the Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, demanding justice for the deceased.

However, the protest was said to have turned violent and allegedly claimed one life in the process.

The protesters, according to The PUNCH report, condemned the incessant brutality and indiscriminate arrests by law enforcement agencies in the town and its environs.
