BREAKING: NCDC pulls down Funke Akindele’s video

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) apparently responding to the indiscretion of its Ambassador, actress Funke Akindele, has pulled down the educational video of COVID-19 on its website featuring the award-winning actress.

The actress had come under fire by members of the public after she held a birthday party in honour of her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, who turned 43 at the weekend.

Her husband had posted a video of the party on his Instagram page and this had drawn the ire of some of his followers and other members of the public who had become alarmed at Akindele’s hypocrisy, in her Social Distancing message in the NCDC’s video.

A look at the NCDC’s website Home page shows that the educational video which had occupied a very conspicuous position had been pulled down.
