Appeal Court rejects Uba’s claim as APC candidate in Anambra guber election

The participation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 6, 2021, governorship election in Anambra State has been rendered invalid and of no consequence.

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High court, Abuja, on Monday voided the participation of the APC and its governorship candidate, Andy Uba, in the election.

Justice Ekwo in a judgment held that the primary election of the APC that produced Uba as flag bearer of the party, substantially failed to comply with the electoral guidelines for the conduct of governorship primary election as well as the APC’s guidelines and constitution.
