BY KAZIE UKO

The General Overseer (GO) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has lost one of his sons, Pastor Dare Adeboye.

Pastor Dare Adeboye, 42, was said to be a senior youth pastor of the youth church in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

He reportedly died in his sleep Wednesday in Eket of undisclosed ailment.

A source who spoke with RELIABLESOURCENG.COM could not confirm the cause of death, but confided that Dare who Papa Adeboye described as his first ‘miracle child’ had not enjoyed good health for years, having been poisoned.

“His health hasn’t been top notch since all these years. He was poisoned a long time ago. I Think it’s the complications from that,” our source said when asked the cause of death.

On his 42nd birthday last year, June 9, 2020, Papa Adeboye released blessings upon him and even used him as a point of contact for those seeking miracles in their lives.

In a Facebook post in honour of Pastor Dare, Papa Adeboye wrote: “Happy birthday to my son Pst Dee prayers on your 42. Our first miracle child. We pray that God will keep his miraculous working power in your life and all those who needs a miracle today, will use you as a point of contact for their own in JESUS name. (Amen) love from Dad, Mom and the whole Adeboye dynasty.”

Described as one of the most influential youth pastors in the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Dare was said to have created platforms for young people to feel empowered and prepared to carry the mantle of the church, propagating the mission and goals of the church.

Otherwise known as Pastor D, he served as the RCCG House of Praise Birmingham Senior Pastor, the RCCG Kaduna 1 Provincial Youth Pastor & RCCG Region 8 Youth Pastor and the North Central Youth Evangelist covering all the YOUTHS, RCF, RCCF, & PSF in the states of Niger, Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau and FCT.

Pastor Dare was married to Mrs Temiloluwa Adeboye and the marriage was blessed with a daughter.

He was the second son of Papa and Mama Adeboye. His siblings are Adeolu Adeboye, Bolu Adubi and Leke Adeboye.
