Two more students of Greenfield University, Kaduna, have been killed by the bandits who abducted them from the university’s campus, last Tuesday.

This latest act of cruelty brings to five the total number of Greenfield University’s student killed by their abductors.

In a statement on Monday, the Kaduna State Government said security agencies had recovered two more corpses of students of the university and evacuated them to a mortuary.

Kaduna State’s Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said: “On a sad note, security agencies have just reported to the Kaduna State Government the recovery of two more dead bodies of Greenfield University students, killed by armed bandits today, Monday 26th April 2021.

“The retrieved corpses have been evacuated to a mortuary, and the university has been notified of the development.”

Aruwan said Governor Nasir El-Rufai was saddened by what he described as evil perpetrated against innocent students abducted while pursuing their education for a glorious future.

“The Government sends its deep empathy to their families and the university management, and prays for the repose of their souls,” he stated.

The bandits had reportedly threatened to kill two or more students after every three days if their demand for N800 million ransom for the release of the students were not met.
