Abba Kyari remains in detention as court refuses bail application

A Federal High Court in Abuja has refused to grant bail on application filed by the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Abba Kyari.

The presiding judge Justice Emeka Nwite gave the ruling on Monday.

RELIABLESOURCENG.COM reports that Kyari and six others have been arraigned by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over alleged drug trafficking offences.

Nwite held that the prosecution had placed sufficient materials before the court to warrant the refusal of bail to both senior police officers.
