Nigeria ‘declares’ partial holiday for Nigeria-Ghana world cup qualifier
Super Eagles line-up against Black Stars in the first leg match in Kumasi

Nigerian government has declared a partial holiday for Tuesday to give civil servants the opportunity to cheer the Super Eagles to victory, as Nigeria confronts Ghana in the return leg of the 2022 FIFA world cup qualifier, in Abuja.

The first leg was played in Kumasi, Ghana, last Saturday and ended goal-less draw, as the Super Eagles of Nigeria withstood the onslaught by the Ghanaian Black Stars who failed to twinkle despite overwhelming home support by the mammoth crowd.

In a circular issued Monday by the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation and addressed to all permanent secretaries, the Federal Government said there was need to mobilise support for the Super Eagles.
