BREAKING: 7 new cases of Coronavirus emerge in Lagos, 3 in Abuja

Nigeria has recorded 10 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number to 22, Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, said in a statement Saturday.

Out of the 10, seven are in Lagos while three are in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

With this latest development, Lagos now has a total of 16 #COVID19 cases, FCT 3, Ekiti 1 and Ogun 2. Two patients have already been discharged, including the Italian index case who was discharged Friday night.

“All cases are clinically stable and receiving adequate care,” Minister Ehanire declared.

According to the minister, all the cases are Nigerians. Nine of them returned from Canada, France, Netherlands, Spain and UK. One is close contact of a known case.

“In FCT, the cases are being treated at University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada. In Lagos, the cases are being treated at Infectious Disease Hospital, Lagos,” Dr Ehanire announced.
