Wikipedia ends Umahi’s tenure as Ebonyi governor March 8

Wikipedia, the online free encyclopedia, has ended the tenure of Engr David Umahi as the governor of Ebonyi State.
The popular reference website, quoted in many research projects and literary works, circumscribed Governor Umahi’s tenure as Ebonyi governor from May 29, 2015-March 8, 2022.
“David Nweze Umahi (born July 25, 1964) better known as Dave Umahi is a Nigerian politician who served as the Governor of Ebonyi State from 29 May 2015 to 8 March 2022,” is how Wikipedia introduces the governor.
RELIABLESOURCENG.COM noticed from the reference that two persons had edited the page on March 8, 2022, the day a Federal High Court, Abuja, presided by Justice Inyang Ekwo, gave its landmark judgment, sacking the governor, his deputy and 16 lawmakers of Ebonyi State House of Assembly from office.

The page was edited by Banjo, Noah (8 March 2022) and Olabimtan, Bolanle (8 March 2022), who referenced the news headline, “BREAKING: Court sacks Umahi, deputy over defection to APC”.
However, a footnote on the Wikipedia page shows that the Umahi page was last edited on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 10:26 (UTC).
Surprisingly, 16 days after the page was edited it is yet to be updated with current information, even by the governor’s aides and office.
Governor Umahi, his deputy and the 16 lawmakers had since appealed the Federal High Court, Abuja, judgment and remain in office.
The governor and his deputy will remain in office until May 29, 2023, if the appeal is resolved in their favour or finally at the Supreme Court, depending on how far the litigation goes in the courts.
