Update on NDA Attack: Two officers killed, one abducted by bandits – See names

The authorities of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) say two officers were killed while another was abducted in Tuesday attack of the institution by dare-devil bandits.
Media sources said a Lieutenant Commander simply identified as Wulah and Flying Lieutenant CM Okoronkwo were identified as those shot dead during the invasion of Afaka Barracks of the nation’s premier military school.
Also, one Major Datong was identified as the officer kidnapped while another officer simply identified as 2nd Lieutenant Onah, sustained gunshot injury and currently receiving treatment at NDA hospital.
The attack happened less than a week after President Muhammadu Buhari charged security chiefs to double up their efforts because he did not want to leave office as a failure.

Confirming the tragic incident, the NDA said in a statement that its security architecture was compromised.
The statement titled: ‘Security breach of Nigerian Defence Academy architecture’, read in part: “The security architecture of the Nigerian Defence Academy was compromised early this morning by unknown gunmen who gained access into the residential area within the Academy in Afaka.
“During the unfortunate incident, we lost two personnel and one was abducted.”
