The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, announced at a press conference in Lagos Thursday that the state has recorded four new cases of coronavirus.

This brings the total confirmed cases in Lagos to 11.

Prof Abayomi while giving the ministry’s daily update said 19 suspected cases and contacts of the new cases announced yesterday were tested and four turned out positive for coronavirus.

The four new cases, according to the commissioner are: a contact of the third case that came from the UK (one of the new cases announced yesterday); a female Nigerian who returned to Nigeria from France via Istanbul on a Turkish flight number TK1830 on the 14th of March, 2020, and a Nigerian male who arrived in Lagos on 13th of March from Frankfurt on Lufthansa Flight number LH568.
