Untold story of Adeleke, Otti relations – Davido connection

Billionaire business mogul Prince Adedeji Adeleke, father of Nigeria’s popular hip-hop act David Adeleke, a.k.a. Davido, led a band of friends and family to Abu Dhabi, seat of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where his son Adewale tied the nuptials with bride, Ekanem.
Among the select group of guests at the A-list event was economist and former bank chief, Dr. Alex Otti, who flew in with his wife, Priscilla, for the shindig on Sunday.
The Ottis and the Adelekes are said to go way back and relate more like family. This is aside the fact that both families subscribe to the Seventh-Day Adventist faith of Christendom.
When, in 2003, tragedy struck the Adeleke’s family, with the sudden passage of Dr Veronica Imade Adeleke, matriarch of the Adeleke’s family and Davido’s mother, in the middle of Prince Adeleke’s birthday celebration, fate brought the Otti and Adeleke family even much closer.
Young David Adeleke, then 11, found comfort in the Otti household. According to an insider, Davido practically grew up in the Alex Otti family.
“Davido’s father, Dr Adeleke, his mum, late Dr Veronica Adeleke and Dr Alex are like siblings. I can tell you for a fact that Davido literally grew up with the Ottis,” our source who preferred not to be named disclosed.
The godfather and godson reunited in Abu Dhabi where Adewale, Davido’s elder brother, got wed to his bride, as the picture above shows.
