Tinubu mocks ‘Obidients’ – You will labour in vain

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has mocked Labour Party (LP) members in Osun State, deridingly saying they will labour until they die, in apparent reference to the ‘Obidients’.
Tinubu was addressing a crowd of APC supporters on Tuesday at a mega rally held by the party in Osogbo, Osun State capital, ahead of Saturday governorship election.
The APC’s governorship candidate and incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola, is running for a second term in office.
Speaking at the rally, Tinubu, who led the APC national leadership, including the National Chairman of the party to the rally, described opposition parties as “mushroom parties”.
He told Osun electorate to do what was done in Ekiti, where the APC’s Abiodun Oyebanji won last month’s election.

“I ask you to please do the same thing you did in Ekiti. Come out with your PVCs and vote massively for APC. The vote is in your hand. Be very vigilant. Be watchful. You will not do it in vain.
“Think about your children and vote accordingly so you can see the future. Come out enmasse. Don’t mind PDP and other mushroom parties; they will labour till they die. God will not make you labourers.
“You’re next. We will be here till tomorrow. We will come back here for victory dance. Look at the trajectory of our lives. We make promises and fulfil them. We are the ones upholding the party, the Buhari party. Don’t answer the naysayers,” Tinubu vaunted.
Yusuf Lasun, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, is the Labour Party candidate in Osun while Ademola Adeleke is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
