Supreme Court upholds Makinde, El Rufai, Sule as governors

 

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.

The seven-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Mary Peter-Odili dismissed the appeal filed by David Ombugadu and the People’s Democratic Party to challenge Sule’s victory at the March 9, 2019 election.

The court also affirmed the election of Governor Oluseyi Makinde as the duly elected Governor of Oyo State.

In the same vein, Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State was affirmed winner of the March 9, 2019, governorship election.
