REVEALED! Why Sanwo-Olu sacked female Commissioner

BY OUR EDITOR
Details have emerged on why Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu sacked his Commissioner for Tourism, Shulamite Olufunke Adebolu.
Adebolu’s name was conspicuously missing in a minor Cabinet reshuffle announced by the governor on Thursday.
Erstwhile Lagos Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, was named as Adebolu’s replacement in the tourism ministry.
Informed reliable source told RELIABLESOURCENG.COM that Adebolu had stood up to the Governor at an Executive Cabinet meeting over an undisclosed issue and that drew the ire of the Governor who felt that his authority as chief executive had been undermined.
“There was a disagreement between the Governor and the Commissioner over an issue during a council meeting. The Commissioner sort of challenged the authority of the Governor and this obviously did not go down well with Sanwo-Olu,” our source revealed.
The source further said: “I think the Commissioner was kind of naïve or over estimated her importance in the cabinet. It doesn’t matter the power behind her nomination into the cabinet, there’s no way a political appointee can show such disloyalty.
“I mean, you can disagree with your boss, but not in such manner. No matter the extent of familiarity, if you have contrary view to his you can approach him privately to explain things and not tug at his ego in front of his subordinate colleagues.”

Eight cabinet portfolios were affected in the minor reshuffle. They include ministries of Local Government, Special Duties, Wealth Creation and Employment, Tourism, Arts and Culture, Home Affairs as well as Waterfront Infrastructure, according to a statement earlier issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile. Others are the Central Business District and Urban Development.
Three Commissioners were moved around, while two Special Advisers were assigned new roles as Commissioners.
Affected commissioners and their new portfolios are Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Wale Ahmed, who has now been moved to Local Government and Community Affairs; Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, formerly Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs has been moved to the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment.
“Also, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf has been moved from the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture as Commissioner,” the statement added.
Two former Special Advisers, Prince Anofiu Elegushi and Architect Kabiru Ahmed are now assigned to the Ministries of Home Affairs and Waterfront Infrastructure as Honourable Commissioners respectively.
The Governor, according to Akosile, also announced portfolios of the new cabinet members.
