Barely 24 hours after the announced increase in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), filling stations across Lagos State have adjusted their pump prices upward, selling the product at between N159.90 and N161.74 per litre.

RELIABLESOURCENG.COM drive around parts of Lagos showed that price/litre at stations owned by major marketers are lower than what obtains at those of independent marketers.

While Mobil, Forte Oil, Enyo and NNPC are selling for between N159.90 – N160 per litre, Petrocam, Pinnacle and Fatgbems sell for between N160-N162 per litre.

The Petroleum Products Marketing Company, a subsidiary of the NNPC had, on Wednesday, increased the ex-depot price of the PMS to N151.56 per litre, with marketers saying the product would be sold at between N158 and N162 per litre.

The ex-depot price is the price at which the product is sold to marketers at the depots.

With N125/litre Nigeria may have removed subsidy on petrol price
