Patrick Doyle returns with ‘News Scope’

Ace broadcaster, actor and film-maker, Patrick Doyle, is re-establishing his position as a television prime anchor with a new current affairs programme, News Scope.

With a debut on Friday, June 5, 2020, by 9.30pm, the 25-minute talk show showing on Silverbird Television, according to Doyle, is designed to bring refreshing and mature perspectives to topical issues in a manner that would be devoid of bias and sentiments.

He promises to unleash his 40 years active experience in broadcasting on the show which will leverage on his expertise and goodwill to enlist the services of respected and informed pundits/analysts in a bid to elevate the quality of public discourse.

“In an age where information is routinely and maliciously manipulated, audiences deserve to be better served. News Scope with Patrick Doyle intends to introduce a new paradigm to the tone of topical discourse,” Doyle who just turned 60 pledges.

He describes his guests as analysts and pundits who are insightful, seasoned and mature patriots with no known political or ethnic biases. Early guests will include Mr. Lolu Akinwunmi, a one-time chairman of Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON); Chief Tony Okoroji, Africa’s leading copyright activist and chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) and Mr. Jite Ogunye, a respected legal attorney of note and civil rights advocate.
