Our father is still alive – Ajimobi’s daughter-in-law

Immediate past governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, is alive and not dead contrary to trending reports on the social media platforms and some online publications.

The former Oyo governor is said to be on admission at a hospital in Lagos, where he is allegedly being treated for COVID-19.

Social media reports quoting unnamed sources had it that the 70-year-old Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had died on Thursday night in Lagos.

But Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi, the daughter of Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who is married to Ajimobi’s son, debunked the story on her Twitter handle, hours later, declaring that “our father is still alive”.

Fatima tweeted: “Thank you for all the messages but our father is still alive, alhamdulillah. When it is our time, we will all die so wait first…”
