Odumakin, dutiful - Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has described the late Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, as dutiful.

Buhari, who is currently in the United Kingdom for medicals, in a condolence message to the family, friends and acquaintances of the Afenifere publicity secretary, said Odumakin was a person of conviction.

The President in a statement issued Saturday on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, recalled that Odumakin was his spokesman in 2011, when he ran for the office of the president on the platform of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), now defunct.

He expressed sorrow that Odumakin died at a time he had a lot more to contribute to society and the nation at large.

“President Buhari prays God to grant repose to the soul of the departed activist, and comfort all those who mourn him,” the statement concluded.
