Nigeria’s COVID-19 confirmed cases rise by 675

The confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Nigeria rose by 675 on the 22nd of June 2020, according to update supplied by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Also, the number of COVID-19 related deaths increased by seven, bringing total deaths recorded across the federation to 525.

The 675 new cases were reported as follows: Lagos (288), Oyo (76), Rivers (56), Delta (31), Ebonyi (30), Gombe (28), Ondo (20), Kaduna (20), Kwara (20), Ogun (17), FCT (16), Edo (13), Abia (10), Nasarawa (9), Imo (9), Bayelsa (8), Borno (8), Katsina (8), Sokoto (3), Bauchi (3) and Plateau (2).

According to the NCDC, a total of 20,919 cases have been confirmed, 7,109 cases discharged while 525 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

So far, only Cross River State is still without any confirmed case of the coronavirus infection.
