Nigeria reports 4 deaths, 26 new cases as COVID-19 tops 210

The National Primary Healthcare Development Agency said as of yesterday, Nigeria had recorded another form of polio called circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus, cVDPV

 

The coronavirus statistics for Nigeria adjusted across board on Saturday with report of two new deaths, 26 new cases and five cases discharged, by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Consequently, as at 10.30pm of Saturday, April 3 2020, Nigeria has recorded in total four (4) deaths, 25 discharged cases and 210 confirmed cases.

Of the twenty-six (26) new cases, eleven (11) are in Lagos, eight (8) in Osun, three (3) in FCT, three (3) in Edo and one (1) in Ondo.

“All new cases have mild to moderate symptoms and are currently receiving care.

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” the NCDC said in its report.

The two new deaths recorded were cases in Lagos and Edo states, one apiece.
