Nigeria closes Monday with 40 confirmed cases of Coronavirus

As of Monday, 23rd of March 2020, the total confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria stood at 40. A total of 10 new cases were recorded by the close of the day.
According to update published on the website of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), out of the 40 cases, two have been discharged, one death recorded and leaving a total of 37 active cases.
Of the 10 new cases recorded on Monday, one was in Edo State, three in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Six in Lagos State.
Overall, Lagos now have a total of 28 confirmed cases (26 active cases), FCT 7, Ogun 2, Ekiti 1, Oyo 1 and Edo 1.
