Mrs Obiano-Bianca saga: Soludo begins tour of duty with apology

Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, is beginning his tour of duty at the Government House, Awka, with apology.
RELIABLESOURCENG.COM reports that Soludo was inaugurated the fifth governor of Anambra State on Thursday, at a ceremony in Awka, state capital, where only 50 guests were said to have been invited.
Shortly after the new governor had been sworn-in, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, wife of the immediate past governor, Willie Obiano, stood up from where she sat with her husband, walked across and straight to where Mrs Bianca Ojukwu was sitting, after a short altercation, what appeared to be a brawl ensued, attracting the attention of guests and disrupting the programme.
It took the intervention of security personnel to restore order as Mrs Obiano was led back to her seat.
In a statement, the governor, through his media aide, Joe Anatune, apologised “to all Anambra people, friends and guests who attended his inauguration this morning as the Anambra State governor for the breach of protocol”.

Soludo said the breach was caused by improper communication which emanated from a personal issue between the two parties involved in the breach.
“Steps are being taken to resolve the misunderstanding and restore the parties to their previous relationship.
“Anambra State has over the years been known for a huge stock of social harmony, and the stock will increase substantially in the years ahead as part of the concerted effort to accelerate the state’s development. “God bless Anambra State, the Light of the Nation,” the governor declared.
