The Lagos State Government says it is targeting at least 200,000 households in the first phase of economic stimulus to cushion the effect of the coronavirus war in the state.

The state’s welfare package hopes to cover six persons per household, making it a total of 1.2 million people.

“I am happy to announce an economic stimulus package to help our residents cushion the effects of our #StayAtHome directive to stop the spread of #COVID19.

“This first stage is targeting 200,000 households at an estimation of 6 people per household.

“We hope to ramp it up quickly,” said state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on his Twitter handle.
