Lagos discharges 87 COVID-19 patients

Lagos State Government says 87 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from its facilities on Wednesday.

State Incident Commander, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said 40 females and 47 males were discharged having recovered from the coronavirus infection.

Sanwo-Olu said with the discharge of the 87, the number of patients successfully managed in the owned facilities has risen to 825.

“Today, 87 recovered #COVID19 patients; 40 females & 47 males, were discharged to rejoin the society. They were discharged having fully recovered & tested negative to COVID19. With this, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities is now 825,” the governor announced on his Twitter handle on Wednesday.

He added: “As our frontline health workers record these successes, we urge Lagosians to adhere strictly to the public advisories & directives as this is the only way we can break the chain of transmission of the virus. We must always remember that the goal is to remain healthy.”
