Kidnappers on the run kill 4 in Abuja

Suspected kidnappers in Abuja, on Sunday, shot and killed four persons in an unidentified vehicle while fleeing from police aerial attack.
It was gathered that operatives of the FCT Police Command in a joint operation with other security agencies to flush out kidnappers in the command area, had attacked their base in an aerial strike.
According to a DAILY TRUST report, the aerial strike caused the suspected kidnappers to rush out to the road where they opened fire at an oncoming vehicle, around Kwaita, Kwali area council, killing four persons in the process.

The Commissioner of Police for the command, Bala Ciroma, confirmed the development while the operation was still ongoing.
Chiroma added that the operatives had been able to arrest one of the suspects with the help of community members.
He said the command would provide more information on the operation, while expressing regrets on the tragic death of the four innocent road users.
