Katsina State Commissioner, Rabe Nasir, assassinated at home

The blood flow in north west Nigeria continued Wednesday night with the assassination of Katsina State Commissioner of Science and Technology, Dr Rabe Nasir, by yet-to-be-identified assailants.
RELIABLESOURCENG.COM gathered that the late commissioner was killed at his residence in Fatima Shema Estate in Katsina metropolis.
There were conflicting reports of how Nasir was murdered. An account said he was shot while another claimed he was stabbed in the stomach. The two accounts, however, said the body was locked up in a room.
Katsina State Police Commissioner, Sanusi Buba, confirmed the incident on Thursday.
“The unfortunate incident happened last (Wednesday) night,” the CP revealed.
Residents said his killers must have taken advantage of his staying alone to carry out the operation.
One of the residents, who pleaded for anonymity said, “The gunmen stormed the house at night and attacked him while he was trying to escape from them. They killed him and locked his corpse up in one of the rooms where we discovered it today (Thursday).”
