Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is positive with Coronavirus

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
In a public broadcast to the state, the video of which is published on the Kaduna State Government official Twitter handle, El-Rufai announced that he has tested positive for the global pandemic and has subsequently gone into self-isolation.
“Earlier this week, I submitted a sample for the Covid-19 test. The result came in this evening and I regret to say that it is positive.
“According to the protocols in managing Covid-19, I’m in self-isolation as required by the case management guidelines of the NCDC for someone that is not showing symptoms,” he disclosed.

He appealed to the people of Kaduna State to continue to closely observe the preventive measures already announced.
“It is most important that everybody should do their utmost to stay safe, stay home and stay alive,” he said.
