Former governor of Anambra state, Mr. Peter Obi, has declared interest to run for the office of president of Nigeria in the 2023 election.

Obi, 60, made a formal declaration on Thursday when he met with members of the Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers at Government House, Awka.

Obi, who was governor of Anambra from 2006 to 2013 and handed over to Willie Obiano, was the vice presidential candidate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, in the 2019 Nigerian general elections under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Details later…
