BY OUR EDITOR
Information just reaching the Reliablesourceng shows that it was one pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and not five as earlier announced, that was kidnapped, while travelling to the Redeemed Camp from Abia State.
Our source who called in from the Camp said Pastor Adeboye confirmed the new figure tonight while addressing the Pastors’ Conference.
Notwithstanding the latest development, the congregation we learnt continued to pray for the safety and release of the five kidnapped victims.
“I am at the Camp, Pastor Adeboye just confirmed that it’s only one person that is a Redeemed Pastor, but the others are not Redeemed members at all.
“However, we are praying for the release of five of them,” our source informed.
The Ogun State Police Command had released the names of five persons said to be pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), kidnapped Thursday on their way to the Redemption Camp to attend the church on-going ministers’ conference.
The police also said they had located the forest where the five abducted persons were kept at the Ogbere – Ijebu – Ode (Ogun State) stretch of the Lagos –Ore expressway.
The names of the abducted persons as released by the police are: Chidioze Eluwa, Chiemela Iroha, Okoro Ohowukwe, Ndubuisi Onwuabueze, and Ibeleji Chidinma (female).
