Meanwhile, the Niger state government has ruled out paying ransom for the 42 students, staff and relatives of staff abducted from the Kagara school.
The government also confirmed the abduction of passengers of a Niger State Transport Authority bus on Sunday.
The abductors were seen in a viral video jubilating, after the attack and demanding N500 million in ransom.
“It is not in our policy as a government to pay ransom to bandits because we have noticed that they use this same money to buy arms and ammunition. However, the government will be ready to support and assist repentant bandits,” Governor Bello said.
