Financial Secretary dumps APGA, says Alex Otti most credible to serve Abia

The Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State, Comrade Nnamdi Nwanaga, has resigned his position with immediate effect.
Nwanaga, in a letter dated March 20, 2022, addressed to the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye, and copied to Chief Uchenna Okogbuo, Deputy National Chairman, South and the State Working Committee of the party, said he was leaving APGA to work with Dr Alex Otti in redeeming Abia State.
RELIABLESOURCENG.COM reports that Otti, a former gubernatorial candidate in Abia State is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Nwanaga’s resignation letter titled, ‘Letter of resignation of my position as the State Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Abia State Chapter’, reads: “There comes a time when the baton must be passed on in this political party marathon journey, in the interest that supersedes my personal interest. It’s in view of this, I write to inform you and publicly announce my resignation from the position of State Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Abia State Chapter on this day, 20 March, 2022.

“I guess you may wish to know exactly what informed my decision in this regard. It’s nothing but the ugly situation of my state which has lingered for over 20 years – since the inception of democratic rule in Abia State; as well as my sad experience in the Party State Working Committee – working with a state chairman who loves money more than his live.
“More importantly, I have carefully looked at all those aspiring for Governorship in my state and came to a conclusion with members of my family, that the only most credible aspirant capable and determined to run and perfectly serve Abians is Dr Alex Otti.
“Considering the great impact he made in Nigerian and global financial and banking institutions and the huge impact he has made in Abia state education, economic and social sector, my formal resignation to work with him in redeeming the state becomes expedient. “I thank you for the opportunity given to me to serve in APGA.”
