Fayemi tests positive for coronavirus, shares duties with Deputy

The governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
He announced today, Wednesday July 22, on his Twitter handle that the result of his COVID-19 third test conducted Tuesday, had returned positive.
Fayemi, chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) did not say if he was asymptomatic but stated that he was “generally ok” and currently isolating at home.
“I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive.
“I’m generally ok and I’m already self-isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team.
“I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home. JKF,” the governor tweeted.
