EXCLUSIVE: Lagos Senator Adebayo Osinowo dies of COVID-19

The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Adebayo Osinowo, is dead. He died today, Monday June 15, in Lagos.

Osinowo, popularly known as Pepperito, according to a close aide who spoke to RELIABLESOURCENG.COM died at about 1pm of COVID-19 related ailment.

The source told us that Osinowo, 64, died at the Landmark Isolation Centre, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos, where he was admitted last Thursday.

“Yes, it’s painful,” the aide responded when we called to confirm the news of the Senator’s death.

“He died of brief illness, COVID-19 related, in Lagos. He died around 1pm at the Landmark Centre,” our source confided.

Osinowo, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was inaugurated as a senator one year ago. He took over the seat formerly occupied by Senator Gbenga Ashafa.
