EFCC grants Ogun Assembly Speaker bail on condition

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has granted the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, administrative bail.
Oluomo, who was arrested on Thursday morning, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos, was released around midnight Friday, on the condition that he returns to the commission on Monday with both the assembly clerk and the accountant.
He confirmed his bail to The Punch in an interview, saying, “I have been given an administrative bail. I will go back to their (EFCC) office on Monday.”

An EFCC source had revealed that the operatives arrested Oluomo to answer questions bordering on alleged financial misappropriation.
The source said that the commission decided to arrest Oluomo after he refused to honour several invitations from the anti-graft agency.
