EFCC arrests Okorocha, former Imo governor

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Tuesday arrested former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, RELIABLESOURCENG.COM has gathered.
EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, disclosed that Okorocha was arrested in Abuja.
He, however, did not say why Okorocha, senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, at the National Assembly, was arrested.
Okorocha’s latest ordeal is coming weeks after the Imo Police Command arrested him in February for allegedly forcefully unsealing Spring Palm Estate in Owerri, said to belong to his wife, Nkechi.
The Imo State Government had sealed the estate and other properties it claimed were diverted by Okorocha and his family members.
The ex-governor has been at loggerheads with his successor, Hope Uzodinma, who has vowed to recover all such “diverted” assets.
