Detained #EndSARS campaigner Eromosele granted bail

Detained #EndSARS campaigner Eromosele Adene has been granted bail by the Yaba Magistrates Court, Lagos, in the sum of N1m.
The magistrate Tuesday ruled against an application filed by the police from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), seeking to remand Adene for an extra 30 days.
Eromosele’s lawyer, Tunde Jinadu, confirmed that his client has been granted bail.
The Punch reports that Jinadu had approached the court to grant his client bail on medical ground.
Policemen had last week arrested Eromosele in Ikeja and taken him to the police command headquarters and then transferred him to the Area F Command before detaining him at the SCID, Panti.

He was flown to Abuja last Monday and detained for seven days before he was brought back to Lagos on Sunday.
However, rather than charge him, the policemen secretly approached a Magistrate, O. A. Salau, without the consent of his lawyer and applied for a remand order to detain him for extra 30 days.
Tempers reportedly flared on Tuesday as security operatives barred the protester’s family members and other supporters from the courtroom.
Some members of the #EndSARS campaign that rocked the country recently have become subject of attack by the agents of the Nigerian state.
Ms Modupe Odele, a lawyer who had rendered pro bono service to the group, had her international passport seized at the airport, while traveling outside the country, others have reported their bank accounts frozen on the order of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for alleged terrorism act.
