COVID-19: Nigeria records 307 new cases, surpasses 10,000

Nigeria’s COVID-19 total confirmed cases have risen to 10,162 as at Sunday, the last day of May and three months after the country recorded her index case.

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said 307 new cases were recorded Sunday, May 31 2020.

Also, a total 3,007 cases have been discharged while 287 fatalities have been recorded so far.

Out of the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Cross River remains the only state without a confirmed case.

The 307 new cases were reported as follows: Lagos (188), FCT (44), Ogun (19), Kaduna (14), Oyo (12), Bayelsa (9), Gombe (5), Kano (3), Delta (3), Imo (2), Rivers (2), Niger (2), Bauchi (2), Plateau (1) and Kwara (1).
