COVID-19: Kano goes bullish with 92 new cases out of 238 nationwide

Kano State for the second day running has recorded the highest number of confirmed new cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

Out of the 238 new cases published by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Kano recorded 92.

The NCDC said as at 11.11pm on the 1st of May 2020, 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, recorded 238 new confirmed cases and 10 deaths.

Only Cross River and Kogi states have not recorded any incident of coronavirus, as 34 states and the FCT have all reported cases since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Nigeria, about two months ago.

Till date, Nigeria has a total of 2,170 confirmed cases, 351 have been discharged while 68 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 238 new cases are reported from the following: Kano (92), FCT (36), Lagos (30), Gombe (16), Bauchi (10), Delta (8), Oyo (6), Zamfara (5), Sokoto (5), Ondo (4), Nasarawa (4), Kwara (3), Edo (3), Ekiti (3), Borno (3), Yobe (3), Adamawa (2), Niger (1), Imo (1), Ebonyi (1), Rivers (1) and Enugu (1).
