Speaking after the delivery of the medical items, Ferdinand Ekeoma, spokesperson of the Foundation and Media Aide to Dr Alex Otti, reiterated the commitment of the Foundation to impacting positively on the lives of Abia residents, and made it clear that the Foundation would sustain every effort geared towards preventing the spread of the deadly virus in the state.

Ekeoma explained that the Alex Otti Foundation was conscious of the fact that preventive measures remained the key to defeating the virus, hence its decision to among other things provide strategic medical institutions with the necessary equipment that would enable medical personnel attend to people without exposing their own lives to danger.

He enjoined Abians to adhere strictly to all safety measures put out by government at all levels and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The Foundation through her sister structures has continued to distribute thousands of hand sanitisers to those in the rural areas, especially the poor who cannot afford to purchase such items at this time of economic hardship.
