Coronavirus negative result excites Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed

 

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, is excited for good reason.

Her test result for coronavirus has just been turned in this Thursday and she is negative. Her colleague, Minister of State for Finance and Economic Planning, Clem Agba, also tested negative.

“I am grateful for negative #Covid19 test results & appreciate your concerns & prayers,” an obviously excited Ahmed announced on her Twitter handle.

She added: “I urge all of us to practice social distancing, wash our hands & use sanitizers as frequently as possible to help put an end to this global pandemic. Please support by following guidelines.”

The Ministry of Finance had earlier tweeted that result of the coronavirus test conducted on the two ministers in charge of the ministry had been released.

“The Ministry of Finance is glad to announce that test results for #Covid19 has returned NEGATIVE for both our Ministers @ZShamsuna @ClemAgba.

“The test was considered necessary after confirmed interactions with persons who tested positive,” the ministry announced on its Twitter handle.
