The annual Household of God Church GRACE programme, God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense, took place last Sunday inside the beautiful and cosy auditorium of the church.

Chief host, Rev Chris Okotie, was on hand to minister to his guests – spirit, soul and body with the word, good music and cash!

A total sum of N10 million was splashed on deserving charities and the Karis Award winner of the year, boxing legend Nojim Maiyegun.

Four charities – Strong Tower Mission, Spinal Chord Injuries Association, Sunshine Foundation and Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted – and the Karis Award winner were blessed with the sum of N2 million, each.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Sunday Dare, had the privilege and honour of chairing the event that has become an annual celebration of God’s benevolence, nationalistic zeal and patriotism.

Highlight of the event organised by the Benevolent Department of the church was the Queen Esther Beauty Pageant. And the crown for this year’s edition of the inner and outward beauty and brain show was placed on the head of the really beautiful Ms Precious Babs-Olorunfemi.

The 2019 GRACE programme attracted guests from different walks of life, particularly the sporting community who turned out in good number to celebrate one of their own, Pa Nojim Maiyegun, Nigeria’s first Olympic medallist.

Guests and visitors alike had the opportunity of enjoying the elaborate decoration of the Household of God church famous Christmas lightings, reputed to be the best in Nigeria.
