Buhari off to Dubai for EXPO 2020

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to travel to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

The 78-year-old President is embarking on the trip 24 days after he and the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, were inoculated with the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, at the State House, Abuja.

The President had gone on a frequent visit to the UK for medical checks and treatment in his first term, his last known official medical trip to the UK being sometime in May 2018. But this is the first time since he got re-elected in February 2019 that he would be traveling out officially for medical check-up.

“The President meets with Security Chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.

“He is due back in the country during the second week of April, 2021,” Adesina announced in his statement.
