Bandits free Baptist, Islamiyya, College of Agriculture students

Bandits terrorising Kaduna State, northwest Nigeria, have released 32 more students of Bethel Baptist High School, who were among the 121 reportedly kidnapped.
The marauders had earlier released 32 of the students abducted from their hostels July 7, 2021.
The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kaduna State, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, who confirmed the release, said the children have been handed over to their parents on Friday evening.
“The parents were advised to immediately take their wards to the hospital for medical check-up, as they were very sick and exhausted. The children looked so weak, sick and tired. So, the parents were advised to take their wards to hospital this night for medical check-up,” he said.
With the Friday release of another 32 students, no less than 57 students are still held captive by their abductors.
Also, the abducted students of College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Bakura, Zamfara State have regained their freedom.

The Governor of the state Muhammad Bello Matawalle disclosed this to newsmen in Gusau on Friday.
Matawalle further explained that they were freed through the help of repentant bandits.
He said no ransom was paid for their release.
Meanwhile, the abducted pupils of Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School in Niger State, who were released on Thursday have been received by the state governor, Sani Bello, at the Government House, Minna, on Friday.
Media report said the bandits released the children after the final ransom of N18 million was paid.
