B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G! INEC declares APC’s David Lyon winner of Bayelsa Governorship election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) early hours of Monday declared the candidate of the All progressives Congress (APC) David Lyon winner of the Bayelsa State governorship election held Saturday.

Lyon defeated his closest rival and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Duoye Diri.

Final result as announced by INEC:

APC – 352,552

PDP – 143,172
