Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, has confirmed that the foreign national, one of the five new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria, is an American.
Minister Ehanire in a statement published on his Twitter handle Wednesday said the American came in through the land border, making it the first case of infection not arriving by air.
He however did not say which of the land borders the American came in.
But the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, in a different tweet on his Twitter handle confirmed that the American came in through the border with Benin Republic on March 13, 2020.
