The rich library of one of Nigeria’s foremost private tertiary institutions, Covenant University, Otta, Ogun State, was further enriched recently with the donation of 30 copies of three life-changing books by a former student of the school.

Donating the books, Dr. Caleb Ajagba, CEO, Candid Logistics Nigeria Limited, an indigenous Shipping, Integrated Logistics and Supply Chain Company, said the university had made tremendous impact in his life and he felt the need to give back to the institution.

Ajagba, who studied for his Doctorate in Political Science with specialisation in Strategic Governance, National Assembly and Electoral Politics in Covenant, chose the auspicious timing of the university’s 20th anniversary to make his presentation, through the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo.

The ordained minister of God and a Pastor at the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) told RELIABLESOURCENG.COM in a chat that Prof Adebayo received the books with warmth and “appreciated our sense of purpose and contribution”.

He said: “On October 28, I was at Covenant University to congratulate the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and the entire university community on the 20th anniversary of the school and to donate 30 copies of my books to the University.

“Covenant University has made tremendous impact in my life. I did my PhD and graduated in 2020 and I was convinced that there was the need to give back to my Alma Mater.

“As always, the VC Prof Abiodun H. Adebayo who received the books, was warm and appreciated our sense of purpose and contribution.

“He was confident that the students would find the books as useful resource materials to equip and position themselves for the leadership roles they are expected to play as new generation leaders.”

The books are titled: Don’t Devalue Yourself, Positioning Yourself in the Crowd and Standing Before Kings and Great Men.

The author in writing the books drew extensively from his knowledge of the word of God as enunciated in the Bible, coupled with his many years of service and experience as a businessman, political scientist, academic and Christian minister.
